A close-up portrait shows [[1367901b52414ec0ac7e62479b6119a3]] holding [[a561e4ca06664158bfd923f679c623e2]]. The woman wears a black turtleneck and gold hoop earrings. She stares directly forward, her face right next to the cat’s. The silver-white British Shorthair cat, also with green-blue eyes, is held in the foreground, mirroring her gaze. The high-fashion studio photo is sharply detailed with natural skin texture and cat fur, against a dark background. The lighting is focused, highlighting the colors of her makeup and the cat’s eye.

An extreme close-up portrait shot at macro distance with a 100mm lens at f/2.8, the depth of field so shallow that the peak of the cheekbone and the outer corner of one eye hold the only true sharpness while the bridge of the nose and the ear dissolve into soft blue gradients, the subject's face and bare shoulder filling the entire frame with no visible background whatsoever, but the defining visual event is the elaborate shadow projection covering the skin entirely — large tropical leaves held or suspended between a single hard-edged light source and the subject create botanical lace across the face, neck, and décolletage, the shadows falling with photogram precision as dark Prussian blue veins and fronds and jagged leaf margins mapping the underlying anatomy of the cheekbone and the soft hollow beneath the jaw, the entire image processed in a deep cyanotype palette as if it were an actual cyanotype photographic print — the highlights are the pale Arctic blue-white of the brightest skin catching diffused light, the midtones a steady Prussian and cobalt, and the deepest shadows an almost-black navy indigo, no warm tones exist anywhere in the frame, even the lips and any visible eye are rendered in the same tonal blue system, the skin texture is visible at this magnification — fine surface hairs catching blue-white light, the faint texture of pores in the sharpest zone, the delicate creases at the corner of the eye, the botanical shadows sharpen and soften in varying layers as different leaves intersect at different distances from the skin surface, some shadow edges knife-crisp where leaves nearly touch the face, others feathered where leaves hover further away, fine grain of a slow-speed print medium visible throughout, the mood is ethereal dream and quiet surrealism — a portrait that exists somewhere between a scientific specimen plate, a cyanotype photogram, and a fashion image, referencing Man Ray's rayograph experiments and the botanical precision of Anna Atkins through a contemporary beauty lens.
