Lightricks' LTX Video 2.0 Retake delivers targeted video editing at $0.10 per second with prompt-based scene modification. Trading full-video generation for surgical precision, this video-to-video model lets you edit specific segments (2-20 seconds) while preserving surrounding content. Built for creators who need quick fixes without re-rendering entire sequences.
Use Cases: Scene Object Removal | Content Replacement | Selective Video Editing
At $0.10 per second of edited footage, LTX Video 2.0 Retake positions as a precision editing tool rather than a full generation endpoint so you pay only for the segments you modify.
| Metric | Result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Edit Duration Range | 2-20 seconds | Configurable segment length for targeted edits |
| Start Time Control | 0-20 seconds | Precise positioning within source video |
| Cost per Second | $0.10 | 10 edits per $1.00 on fal |
| Retake Modes | 3 options | Audio-only, video-only, or combined replacement |
| Related Endpoints | LTX Video 2.0 Fast, LTX Video 2.0 Pro | Fast variant for speed, Pro for quality in full generation workflows |
LTX Video 2.0 Retake uses prompt-driven editing to modify specific video segments while maintaining temporal coherence with unedited sections. Unlike full regeneration models that process entire clips, this endpoint targets 2-20 second windows within existing footage.
What this means for you:
Segment-level precision: Edit specific timeframes (start_time + duration parameters) without affecting surrounding content. Remove a person from seconds 5-8 while preserving the rest of your 30-second clip
Flexible replacement modes: Choose audio-only, video-only, or combined replacement depending on whether you're fixing dialogue, visuals, or both in the same segment
Cost-efficient iterations: Pay $0.10 per second of edited content rather than regenerating full videos. A 5-second fix costs $0.50 vs. regenerating a complete 20-second clip
Temporal consistency: Maintains visual continuity at edit boundaries, avoiding the jarring transitions typical of spliced footage
