Precision Editing Without Manual Keyframing
Lucy Edit Fast uses Decart's localized diffusion architecture to modify specific video elements through text prompts alone, eliminating the need for masking, rotoscoping, or frame-by-frame intervention. Unlike traditional video editing that demands manual selection and tracking, it interprets natural language instructions to isolate and transform objects, clothing, or backgrounds while maintaining temporal consistency.
What this means for you:
-
Natural Language Control: "Change her jacket to formal brown jacket" replaces multi-step masking workflows. The model automatically identifies, tracks, and modifies the target element across frames
-
Motion Preservation: Edits maintain original camera movement, subject animation, and lighting conditions rather than generating new motion from scratch
-
Rapid Iteration Cycles: 10-second processing enables A/B testing multiple creative directions in minutes instead of hours of manual editing time
-
Optional Prompt Enhancement: Built-in refinement automatically expands sparse prompts into detailed editing instructions for more consistent results across complex scenes

How It Stacks Up
Lucy Edit [Pro] Video to Video – Lucy Edit Fast trades maximum fidelity for faster processing at lower cost. Pro prioritizes photorealistic detail and complex scene understanding for final production assets, while Fast optimizes for rapid creative exploration where iteration speed determines workflow viability.
Lucy Edit [Dev] Video to Video – Lucy Edit Fast offers production-stable performance with consistent 10-second processing times. Dev provides experimental features and cutting-edge capabilities for developers willing to accept variable processing times and evolving API parameters in exchange for early access to new editing techniques.
MiniMax Video 01 Live – Lucy Edit Fast specializes in localized modifications to existing footage, while MiniMax generates entirely new video from text prompts. Fast excels when you need to preserve specific motion, lighting, or scene context while changing individual elements. MiniMax serves text-to-video generation workflows where no source footage exists.
