Your request is billed for output video generation plus reference inputs above a shared allowance. All prices below are in USD.
Every request includes 4,096 reference tokens at no additional charge, shared across all reference images, videos, and audio clips. Additional reference tokens cost $0.02 per 1,000 tokens, prorated to the actual token count. The allowance covers reference processing; output generation is billed separately.
Output video
Output generation is billed using the requested duration (duration) and selected resolution.

Add a reference surcharge only when the combined reference-token count exceeds 4,096.
Total cost
Output cost = requested output duration × resolution rate
Reference tokens = image tokens + video tokens + audio tokens
Reference cost = max(0, reference tokens − 4,096) × $0.02 / 1,000
Total cost = output cost + reference cost
Apply the allowance once per request to the combined references. It is not a separate allowance for each file or media type. Reference usage is not rounded up to blocks of 1,000 tokens.
Reference images
Reference-image token counts depend on the image's aspect ratio and are independent of the output-video resolution.
Square reference images, including 1024 × 1024 and 2048 × 2048 uploads, contribute 1,024 tokens each. When no video or audio references use the allowance, four square reference images are included; each additional square image adds $0.02048 (about $0.02).
Accepted reference-image aspect ratios range from 2:5 to 5:2. The following examples are within that range:

The last column is the full marginal cost after the allowance has been used. With no other references, one image of any shape in this table has no reference surcharge.

For mixed image shapes, add their individual token counts before subtracting the allowance. The number of included images therefore depends on their shape and any other reference inputs.
Reference videos
Reference-video tokens depend on the clip's aspect ratio and frame count, as well as the selected output resolution.
- 480p output has lower reference-video token counts than 768p or 1080p output for the same reference clip.
- 768p and 1080p output use the same reference-video token counts.
- Each reference video's own aspect ratio affects its token count.
- Source frame rate matters: two clips with the same duration can contribute different numbers of frames and tokens.
- The number of reference-video frames counted is limited by the requested output duration. A longer uploaded clip may therefore contribute only part of its frames.
- Token counts increase in steps; a fixed tokens-per-second rate is only an approximation.
The examples below assume one 16:9 or 9:16 reference video at exactly 24 fps, with exactly the frame counts shown, a requested output duration at least as long as the reference, and no image or audio references. The 4,096-token allowance is already deducted from each surcharge.

These are reference charges only. Add output generation to obtain the total. Different aspect ratios, frame counts, or requested output durations can change the reference cost. Each reference video's token count is calculated individually; add the counts and apply the shared allowance once.
Reference audio
Audio supplied through reference_audio_urls contributes approximately 80 tokens per second, independent of output resolution. Exact usage can vary, so duration-based amounts below are estimates.

These are marginal charges, not minimum fees. If the combined image, video, and audio references remain within 4,096 tokens, the reference surcharge is $0. An audio track embedded in a reference-video file is not counted as a separately supplied audio reference.
Combined pricing examples
These totals include output generation and the reference surcharge. Images are square and contribute 1,024 tokens each, whether uploaded at 1024 × 1024 or 2048 × 2048. Reference videos are 16:9 or 9:16 at exactly 24 fps, with the frame counts from the table above. No separate audio references are included.

For example, a 5-second 480p output with five 2048 × 2048 square reference images costs:
Output generation: 5 × $0.05 = $0.25
Reference tokens: 5 × 1,024 = 5,120
Billable reference tokens: 5,120 − 4,096 = 1,024
Reference surcharge: 1,024 × $0.02 / 1,000 = $0.02048
Total: $0.25 + $0.02048 = $0.27048
A 5-second 768p output with two square images and one 5-second reference video from the table above costs:
Output generation: 5 × $0.08 = $0.40
Reference tokens: 2 × 1,024 + 32,256 = 34,304
Billable reference tokens: 34,304 − 4,096 = 30,208
Reference surcharge: 30,208 × $0.02 / 1,000 = $0.60416
Total: $0.40 + $0.60416 = $1.00416
