# Gemini Omni Flash 1.2 Upscale Video

> Gemini Omni Flash 1.2 is Google's multimodal video model. This endpoint upscales a video of up to 15 seconds to a selected resolution of up to 4K, with an optional text instruction to guide the result.

## Overview

- **Endpoint**: `https://fal.run/google/gemini-omni-flash/v1.2/upscale`
- **Model ID**: `google/gemini-omni-flash/v1.2/upscale`
- **Category**: video-to-video
- **Kind**: inference
**Tags**: upscale, utility

## Pricing

Billing is calculated per second of upscaled output video, based on the source and target resolution. Upscaling **360p to 720p** or **720p to 1080p** costs about **$0.041** per second; **360p to 1080p** costs **$0.0819** per second; and **720p or 1080p to 4K** costs **$0.1638** per second. The target resolution must be higher than the source. Upscaling a **10-second 720p** clip to **1080p** costs about **$0.41**, or about **$1.64** to **4K**.

## API Information

This model can be used via our HTTP API or more conveniently via our client libraries.
See the input and output schema below, as well as the usage examples.

### Input Schema

The API accepts the following input parameters:

- **`video_url`** (`string`, _required_):
  URL of the video to upscale. Must be at most 15 seconds long.
  - Examples: "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4"

- **`resolution`** (`ResolutionEnum`, _optional_):
  The target resolution of the upscaled video. Must be higher than the source video's resolution. Default value: `"1080p"`
  - Default: `"1080p"`
  - Options: `"720p"`, `"1080p"`, `"4k"`

**Required Parameters Example**:

```json
{
  "video_url": "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4"
}
```

**Full Example**:

```json
{
  "video_url": "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4",
  "resolution": "1080p"
}
```

### Output Schema

The API returns the following output format:

- **`video`** (`File`, _required_):
  The generated video.

**Example Response**:

```json
{
  "video": {
    "url": "",
    "content_type": "image/png",
    "file_name": "z9RV14K95DvU.png",
    "file_size": 4404019
  }
}
```

## Usage Examples

### cURL

```bash
curl --request POST \
  --url https://fal.run/google/gemini-omni-flash/v1.2/upscale \
  --header "Authorization: Key $FAL_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{
     "video_url": "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4"
   }'
```

### Python

Ensure you have the Python client installed:

```bash
pip install fal-client
```

Then use the API client to make requests:

```python
import fal_client
def on_queue_update(update):
    if isinstance(update, fal_client.InProgress):
        for log in update.logs:
           print(log["message"])
result = fal_client.subscribe(
    "google/gemini-omni-flash/v1.2/upscale",
    arguments={
        "video_url": "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4"
    },
    with_logs=True,
    on_queue_update=on_queue_update,
)
print(result)
```

### JavaScript

Ensure you have the JavaScript client installed:

```bash
npm install --save @fal-ai/client
```

Then use the API client to make requests:

```javascript
import { fal } from "@fal-ai/client";
const result = await fal.subscribe("google/gemini-omni-flash/v1.2/upscale", {
  input: {
    video_url: "https://storage.googleapis.com/falserverless/model_tests/video_models/mmaudio_input.mp4"
  },
  logs: true,
  onQueueUpdate: (update) => {
    if (update.status === "IN_PROGRESS") {
      update.logs.map((log) => log.message).forEach(console.log);
    }
  },
});
console.log(result.data);
console.log(result.requestId);
```

## Deploy your own model

To run your own weights, a fine-tune or a custom pipeline on the GPUs that serve this API, deploy it on fal Serverless. GPUs from H100 (80GB) to B300 (288GB), billed per second; an H100 is $4.50/h list, as low as $2.49/h. Prices, GPU specs and deploy steps: [fal Serverless](https://fal.ai/serverless.md).
